I really can't wait...definitely excited to pick this up. The Carnegie Hall show was on my birthday but I wasn't able to see it, so I'm anxious to buy the DVD.
I swear on Jagger (:-D) that my name is Judy. I always feel happy when someone says "Rufus does Judy." Moving on... I'm going to embarrass myself and say I haven't heard the original yet. But I plan on it, honest.
The impression I got from Rufus on J Ross was that it was the New York show that will be on the DVD. ut all the cameras were at the second London show. Will there be two releases? What gives.

Yes thats what Rufus said, and yet it was reported that the sound quality wasnt good etc so it was filmed again at the London Palladium...I was there to witness it. We will have to wait for more info.
PS - i kind of hope they don't call the CD "Rufus Does Judy" *giggles* i think they can come up with something that won't be taken the wrong way by immature people like myself

The CD will be the audio from New York, the DVD from London Night 2.

I wonder if we will be able to buy them together? Advertised together or separately, that is...
I am glad they are releasing both, though I must say, I am most excited for the dvd! I have pretty much worn All I Want out completely!

Really? How did you glean this, Peter? I am a bit slow... Art *grin* Just read starstruck's post, which explains. Cheers!
PS - the London show (the first night) was magical. I will buy BOTH when they come out to relive the evening *grin*

What?! *eager* Art{/q}
The UK concerts of course Art! :D
I wonder whether any of us fans will make an appearance in the DVD *blushes*. As I was sitting in the centre of the 5th row, I kind of hope not :? *blushes again*
I'm a Judy fan so I´m looking forward to hearing Rufus sing her songs! Got to hear a little bit a the live show the other day and it was great so I can imagine the whole Judy concert was really something special. Can´t wait.
I've been hearing alot about how special this show is going to be and was wondering...even though it's a larger venue, with the CD/DVD coming out, will there maybe be a chance for a purchase/signing after the show like at some of his shows to promote RTS? Maybe I should pose this question to the Admin. here and see...
Well personally I can't wait for this. We both loved the performance at the Palladium, and were always playing the Judy CD. Sharon couldn't wait for the Rufus version to be released, and for me it will be a wondeful memory of the event and of Sharon. I wonder if there will be a shot of Sharon, we were in row T but weren't near any celebs. Either way I can't wait..........
Don't forget also there will be(hopefully)a channel 4 presentation of this later in the year too,or so we have been led to believe glitztech,so here's hoping you get your wish.

Yes it's about time we heard something a bit more official other than snippets here and there in the press,I can understand it if it is being released after the Hollywood Bowl concert, but it would be nice to have a date to look forward to.
Newbie here. Has anyone ever posted who saw Judy and (45 years later) Rufus at Carnegie Hall?
I was a teenager when I went with my parents to see Garland at Boston Garden (18,000 seat sports arena) in Octoberr, 1961 (six months after CH). Judy sang essentially the same program as Carnegie Hall.
I am seeing Rufus this Friday at the Mann Center in Philadelphia, but realize he will but singing his own songs, which I also really like. (I missed out on Rufus at CH last June, because I was not in the US).
Bottom line: Did anyone see both concerts? You would have had to be my age back in '61 to do it. Love to know.
WHEN in September is the CD released? Argh! I went to HMV and Fopp an hour ago in vague hope and it is definitely not a first-of-the-month release. Can't wait.
