The London Palladium (18th Feb 2007)

A continuation from the old thread.

I was at this show and loved every moment! I was so happy when 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross' was on and they showed a clip of this very performance! Brought back many good memories.

[Edit] - Actually 25th!

Clip

The clip was actually from the 25th, which will be released on DVD. The 18th was great too, his first night of it in London!

Palladium

Couldn't agree more Granados. Looking forward to seeing the performance on the 25th and seeing how it compares to the 18th.

Yes, what a night that was.... all of three months ago, yikes! Rufus, Judy, Julian Barratt (my idol from The Mighty Boosh who I met and.... spoke to)

And most importantly all the lovely boardies I met... including you, Al!

I can not wait until September for the DVD.

Ah, Sunday 18th Feb 2007 *sigh* the very first time I heard Rufus live. Out he came on to that stage shining like a star and burst into… “When you’re smiling when you’re smiling the whole world smiles with you”
I smiled non-stop.

I too couldn't stop smiling...not least because of what he was wearing! Funnily enough he only just beat Mark Gattis on the 'loudest suit' front.

Just experimenting with posting a photo and thought a happy memory of this fantastic occasion would be a nice way to start!

This is me (in the middle) Kizee on the left and Karen during the interval....

The London Palladium (18th Feb 2007)

What a special night. I was fortunate enough to purchase a charity ticket which meant I got to meet him afterwards very briefly. And who new Martha's voice was so amazing!!??

It was so good I went straight on ebay and got two tickets for the following week!!

Sunday 18th

I was there for the first night at the Palladuim, going the whole way in my red Dorothy shoes too :)
Cried for the duration of "Over the Rainbow", purely because I could see Rufus was in tears whilst singing.
It was beyond fantastic and I loved every minute of it.
Especially when a guy from the audience shouted "Rufus, we love you"
and Rufus replied "Awww. I know you do" and chuckled away to himself to the amusement of the audience.
Waited outside afterwards as well at the stage door, but had no luck in catching him, along with about 30 other people, as he slipped out the main door while we were huddled at the back haha.
