well i am actually ok today after feeling quite rough yesterday(unable to get to sleep thurs night and really busy day at work doing extra hours AND wanting to die of embarrassment,when i realised i was in the wrong month for rufus's birthday AND actually posted it,ye gods what sleep deprivation does to you!!!)
so yes at the moment i am calm,until i think about the new uk tour dates,which i am not going to think about again today,i don't think......if you get my drift.

I'm euphoric at the moment with the announcement of the Sheffield City Hall gig.
Cos i'm going to stay at one my sisters houses.
but i feel very sad and sorry for my sister Starstruck at the moment, as the area around her house has been flooded with the current rainfall,and she has been bailing out water all day.This is after dealing with floods last week too,the pictures she mailed me were horrendous.Poor girl!

Oh dear,just been speaking to my sister starstruck who lives in Rotherham near Sheffield.
The dam near them may burst an loads of people near them have already been evacuated,and her family is on standby.She has had about 3feet of water in the house,and has lost a lot of personal stuff,the furniture can be replaced,but not family albums etc.
At the moment they are left with sludge and other suchlike in the house and they are trying to clean,but they may just have to leave it and go.
At least they are all safe,I feel very sorry,and so does she that other families have so far suffered worse.:(

Mmmmm let me see......arrrrrrrghhhhhh!!!
Happy now I can get back to the boards, and see what I have missed although Rubeee is keeping me up to date...at least we have tickets and have something to look forward to BIG TIME! Rufus has again, bless him, kept me sane, while all the downstairs of my house has been wrecked due to flooding. I have managed to sing along while wading through water clearing what I can.I did nearly faint at one bit because all my Rufus posters,signed pics, in fact everything I have collected (not cds) used to be in the garage hidden... due to jealous husband !! ( I had taken them up in my bedroom a few weeks before and forgot) and as the water rose to 4feet I waded through like a lunatic ..you would have thought I had webbed feet....and then remembered all was not lost!!! I have cried more this week till I feel sick, things that can never be replaced but at least my family are safe which is the most important thing. Watching the news has put it all in perspective and makes you realise how there is always some poor soul suffering more. Its been heartbreaking.
We are helping our neighbours at the moment as the water covered their downstairs, they had to climb out their upstairs windows to get out....horrendous! So I have felt guilty that we didnt get it as bad at least we managed to salvage things above waist height my neighbours have lost the whole of their downstairs!

Sad! Its my birthday today and what am I doing....am here in something that resembles my house.....downstairs the builders are knocking plaster off the walls, some walls are gone! floorboards ripped up, part of the staircase...gone!! I have been shown mould growing on the walls from when we got flooded, the water hasnt dried underground...everythings rubble...."dont know what I'm gonna do".......oooh I feel Rufus again...."there was a river running underground, underground towards my house, that only I know all about and right now I feel like FLEE...ING!!!

you just have to find a job that's right for you.....it's just no good being unhappy. Maybe if you said what you were good at we could all put our thinking hats on and come up with the right job for you!

oddly elated!
i'm watching these 2 kids ages 4 and 1 and a half tonight and it was hell trying to get the older one to sleep and the younger one wouldn't stay in his bed! he followed me out whenever i left the room! so when the older one was finally asleep, i had to deal with the younger one...so i did the craziest thing... hehe omg this is so embarassing.
i was sitting there in his room so he'd see i was there and he would sleep. i got my ipod cuz i was bored and wanted something to kill time, so i was kind of singing along to my songs and i realize the kid is kind of like lying down and getting comfortable as i'm singing... haha so omg i can't believe myself. i sang some rufus songs to him until he finally went to sleep!!! hahaha i'm not even kidding. the ipod was on shuffle so i just sang whatever came on, really low and softly along with my headphones and he went to sleep after 5 songs!! it was so weird but cool too, and now everyone's gonna think i'm insane hehe :P omg i can't believe i just told you all that. haha oh well!

My 4 year old demanded to listen to martha at bedtime a while back, loves Rufus also. But Dad did ask him if he liked Rufus or The Smiths best, and the little .....said The Smiths. I will buy the child his own iPod and make him listen to RW for hours. I'm not being too hard am I?

the funny thing about my singing to the kid, is that i was the only one hearing the actual music. dunno quite how release the stars must have sounded to him minus blazing french horns etc lol. plus i'm a girl so my voice doesn't go as low as rufus'
and i actually sang between my legs! tho i kind of hummed the words "between my legs" because well there was this other woman there who is staying at the house (and she dealt with the 4 year old cuz i was ready to massacre him hehe) so yea i was very embarassed cuz she totally heard me singing since the doors of the rooms were wide open!! and told their mom who just so happens to be my boss! (i'm stayin at her house this summer for the job, so that's why i was watching her kids) hahaha so now everyone at the office knows about my singing rufus for like an hour to get the kid to sleep! nooo idea what they think of me now! ;)

Hi, I am one of Rube's sisters and yes it is wonderful to know he likes the gifts he receives from his fans, and so exciting when you spot him actually wearing them...this is the necklace we gave him at the Old Vic, and he has wore it alot!!! we are so happy happy happy!!!!
Anyway it is a swarovski BAILEE necklace.........

At the moment its raining again, I am confined upstairs due to builders demolishing the downstairs of my house (flood damaged) and for the past 3 hours I have been searching for a house to rent for the duration! We have just had 2 days of living upstairs...the office is a kitchen/dining room and...an office, the lounge is now a bedroom and lounge and the only access into the house...so we have to get out before we kill one another...me/husband/16yr old son/14yr old twins....stress stress stressed!

We have just had 2 days of living upstairs...the office is a kitchen/dining room and...an office, the lounge is now a bedroom and lounge and the only access into the house...so we have to get out before we kill one another...me/husband/16yr old son/14yr old twins....stress stress stressed!

A lot better now that I've had my first cup of coffee of the week.
I have been trying to cut down and couldn't work out why I was so depressed... bleak is the word.
Had a cup of gold blend and now am on top of the world... well that's a slight exaggeration but i'm certainly not in the belly of it which I was half an hour ago.

You got the necklace, that's not a bad idea. I might go and have a look in Selfridges or Harrods; I think they sell Swarovski there. If not, then I'll take a walk up and down Bond Street, maybe they have a shop. Just have to know what it looks like when it's on!

Suppose I have to count my blessings, I shall be getting the keys tomorrow for the house I have had no choice but to rent due to flood damage to mine! Its only 5mins away so I am going with my son and daughter but my husband and other son are staying put! At least on one hand I shall get some peace and not be arrested for strangling somebody... but on the otherhand.....no computer where I will be...pffft so will keep nipping back home to jump on board now and again.

Today I have been to the vetinary hospital as Rosie, my cairn terrier has chipped a bone in her left leg! Tonight I have just this minute got back from A&E Dept as my son (16yrs) has broken his foot.....greeeeeaaaaat!!! It is now 12.30am and I am going to crawl into bed...I am up at 7am to get ready to go to the hospital with my husband, then I have to go to another hospital at 10.15am for myself..I am having an ultrasound scan on my feet.....its agony walking....and then sort out fetching keys for a house I am renting due to my own house flooding....then I am at the hairdressers at 5pm as I resemble...well I dont know what!!! A mop!!

is sleepy a mood? haha too bad. i'm sleepy, but somewhat content. i went to the Paleo festival here in switzerland last night to see Muse. the arctic monkeys were playing as well, tho i'd never heard anything of theirs so yea... i enjoyed it despite not knowing any of the words! it's just the lead singer looks like he's about 12 so that was odd
haha i really like muse, not as much as rufus but it makes quite a drastic contrast when i want a bit of change! i do have to say i was rather angry/scared last night cuz i was stuck right in the middle of all the mental people in the mosh pit and was nearly trampled several times!! and i probably have horrible bruises! my whole body is aching! i got really good pics and a bit of video... but i got covered in other peoples' sweat and the bottom half of me quite splattered with mud... so i have to wonder if it was worth the pain!
haha tho i must say it made me GREATLY appreciate that NO rufus fans are mental like that and that is why, despite muse putting on a great show with lots of flashing lights etc I'll take the wonderful, SANE rufus audiences ANY day! :D

i'm so angry i could SCREAM!!!! arghhhh i hate my job. last night was kind of ruined cuz i met my friend's girlfriend for the first time and she did NOT make a good impression. my friend likes to antagonize me about rufus as a joke so after i introduced myself to his girlfriend he mentioned something to her about rufus and she had this look of recognition and i was excited cuz i thought maybe another fan? boy was i wrong. she's like oh rufus wainwright? i HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE him. i was like uhhh ok.. nice to meet you too... and then i was like why do you hate him and she launched into this story about how she saw him open for ben folds twice and she thought he was annoying and couldn't understand what he was saying and his songs are dumb etc etc and i was like wow...i'm liking this girl less and less by the millisecond. i don't know much about ben folds but i have seen him do the careless whisper song with rufus as a duet on youtube and well.... i don't think he's anything special. i don't find his voice that great. so she's like carrying on and i was getting really annoyed so i kind of talked around her to my friend (her boyfriend) but yea she put me in a bad mood for the rest of the evening. she said that she got told off by some rufus fans at the concert for talking while he was performing. i would have smacked her too! arghhh.

my mood
well I popped over to a friends house to let the kids swim and have lunch while she did my hair. Such as the life of a stay home mom.
I'm so happy right now. a drink afternoon cocktails, a little hairstyle ( a brand new color to boot) kids are now off helping a friend with farm chores and it is gay date night whoooppppie .
its been a good day and will remain that way if I have my say.

i just finished reading the last harry potter... so i'm happy but very sad as well!! haha ten years of my life with harry has just kind of ended... feels sort of abrupt lol. but i do feel quite proud of myself i learned to play most of The Art Teacher on the piano this evening cuz i was bored! it's quite tiring on the fingers lol and i have no idea how to do the other part but i'm glad with what i CAN do :)

{q a=[[crazystairs]]}{q a=[[rascal102]]}{q a=[[crazystairs]]}i just finished reading the last harry potter... so i'm happy but very sad as well!! haha ten years of my life with harry has just kind of ended... feels sort of abrupt lol. but i do feel quite proud of myself i learned to play most of The Art Teacher on the piano this evening cuz i was bored! it's quite tiring on the fingers lol and i have no idea how to do the other part but i'm glad with what i CAN do :){/q}
i finished HP on friday night...wow what a book the best one by far. I cried when i finished it.
i would love to learn the art techer only 3 things are stopping me
1. i don't have the music
2. i don't have a piano
3. i don't think i can remember how to play it if i did!

yea i was weepy for most of the last quarter of the book! lol but i totally loved it! my friend complained about the end, but i don't agree.
yea i don't have the music for the art teacher either! this is gonna sound so lame but i was actually watching the all i want dvd last night cuz i was bored and i realized that on the music section in the menu for the studio frisson sessions, they have the camera on rufus' hands as he's playing the art teacher! so i just watched what notes he was playing and wrote it down. haha thus i can now play just that part which is the long instrumental with no words. i would love the rest of the music though! i'm just not clever enough to figure it out just by listening lol {/q}

tired..I really need to start sleeping. My anxiety is really starting to get the best of me. I'm really torn over doing a video for the BML auditions. I'm going to see Chris Isaak this weekend so I'm fretting about what to wear. That is in 5 days, I'm going to see Rufus in 21 so i'm freaking out about that, never mind if I do a video. Which if I dont do the video I'll totally kick myself in the butt for atleast not putting myself out there.
Does not help that with all of this worrying and my normal life crap, my face breaks out like a 14 yr old school girl. *sigh*
yeah I'm going to quit while I've ahead and have more coffee.

i'm feeling a little silly right now. i don't have much to do for work today... so i'm surfing the swarovski site again! LOL. oh my... i'm just looking at all the sale items and bailee stuff haha bailee pendant, hair clip, hair comb etc... i feel like an ass for seeing this especially since rubeee and her sisters paid full price... but the bailee brooch is now 50% off as well! before it was only the necklace! everything else is still full price tho... but yea... hmm should i buy the brooch to match my necklace? haha i dunno yet. tho it is getting quite hard to get away with wearing the necklace as much as i have been doing haha. nobody has said anything to me yet, so i'm gonna keep wearing it :P

MMMmmmm, am sad the necklace clasp has gone dodgy, will tell Rube as soon as she gets home from work.....but hoping we can personally collect it from Rufus to have it repaired or .....swapped.....ahhhhh just had a crafty thought.....we could take it off him ahem...to repair it.....slip him a new one seeing its now half price....and me and my sisters can have it in turns wearing the original knowing it has been round his neck, complete with Rufus sweat!!!! We shall have to draw straws as to who can have it first though!!!!.(probably get chastised now off my older sisters for plotting and scheming again!!!!)
