    Re: Lucy - Scottish Shows

Just a quick word about Lucy's show at The Brel. It was a very intimate venue with the concert actually taking place in what is a large conservatory attached to a bistro in the Hillhead district of Glasgow.  Lucy had performed there on her last visit to the UK and it seemed that there were quite a few folk present who had seen her then. There was a good number in attendance and they were certainly far more vocal than the Edinburgh audience but in a good way. In fact at one point Lucy ended up doing an impromptu question and answer session Smile

Here are a couple of photos from The Brel:

Re: Lucy - Newcastle Show Thursday 11 March

Just to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Lucy's show at The Cluny 2 on Thursday night.  She sang most of the songs from her new CD plus some stuff from the last 2 and covers including a song from Hair.  I'm pleased to say she was her normal charming and chatty self and got a good reception although shame there was only about 50 people there.  At five to 8 there were only 5 so it worked out OK Smile

I was in a great position to take photographs and had diligently charged the camera batteries and remembered to put the camera in my bag - unfortunate that I completely forgot to put the batteries in the camera Embarrassed.

Also good to see the Sirjanuses who seemed to enjoy their first Lucy show.  Only slightly surreal experience was that someone brought their 2 year old to the show who cried intermittently throughout and, despite the fact that a queue had formed to get CDs signed, thought that was sufficient reason that they didn't need to join it and barged straight to the front Angry.  Anyways, it is £10 for the new CD and £20 for all three - don't forget to take cash Big Smile

Re: Lucy - Newcastle Show Thursday 11 March

I was given a 12 hour reprieve from the Bubbies to visit the Mainland, so spent a delightful evening with the lovely Miss Lucy (oh, and Mr C). Laugh

Having never seen her before I was struck by how refreshing she is.

Thankfully no two year olds tonight - in fact I think there were only about 6 people younger than me! OOO Tongue

Venue not very big, but 3/4 filled by the grey brigade, which turned out to be a very good thing, as it meant that there was a lot of chat with the well behaved, but interactive audience.

If only all shows were as intimate and genteel as this! Smirk
