This past Sunday in NYC, Rufus was one of many special guests at the Ping Pong
Ball, a charity event organized by Mary Louise Parker and Susan Sarandon to benefit Hope North, a
40-acre campus in northern Uganda where refugees, orphans and former child
soldiers find a place to call home.
In the midst of the ping pong action,
before a crowd that included Michael Stipe and Mike Mills from REM, as well as
the legendary Lou Reed, Rufus took the stage with an acoustic guitar to perform
two songs. He first debuted a new brand new song called "I'm Out Of The Game"
(which you can view on YouTube here), followed by stunning duet with sister
Martha on "In My Arms". No footage of the performance has surfaced yet, but check
out this link to watch a brilliant performance from 2006.
