December 2, 2014
First performed in 2005, this family show was the inspiration of the legendary musician and songwriter, Kate McGarrigle, who saw the concerts as a way to raise money and awareness about Sarcoma, the rare and underfunded cancer that took her life five years ago.
After a three-year hiatus from their hometowns Rufus and Martha Wainwright’s Noël Nights mark a grand holiday return to New York City, December 17 and 18 at Town Hall! The cherished holiday tradition features musical holiday-flavored performances from many members of the talented McGarrigle/Wainwright musical dynasty, including Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, Sloan Wainwright, Loudon Wainwright III and Lucy Wainwright Roche. Special guests include Emmylou Harris, Cibo Matto, Justin Vivian Bond, Jenni Muldaur, Cyndi Lauper (Dec 17 only), Renee Fleming (Dec 18 only).
Tickets for December 17 can be purchased here.
